Mining The Past
We’re a country built and enriched by immigrants from around the world. This 12" x 12" piece honors their history. An old family photo from Russia, paper ephemera from my dad’s old notebooks, multiple layers of paint and collage, followed by sanding and staining. I felt just like an archaeologist on a dig.
