What Would My Mother Think
My mother was an amazing artist who loved painting bold and beautiful flowers. When I first began to follow in her footsteps, using her paintbrushes, I, too, chose flowers as my subject. Now, in this abstract acrylic and mixed media work, I smile and wonder what she would think of this new direction. Detail of this painting is also a postcard. This piece was recently awarded a second place prize in a regional art show!
